Meet Dr. Tyler Carlson
As an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University, Dr. Tyler Carlson was asked to help out at an event providing free dental care for underprivileged children. He was so moved by his experience that he decided to pursue a career in dentistry and attended A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
Having been with the Community Dental Partners for five years, Dr. Carlson is now a CDP Doctor Owner with branches in Boerne and Corpus Christi, Texas, and is the Head of CDP’s Clinical Executive Committee where he has the privilege of monitoring new graduates, supporting our existing doctors, and organizing the Ultimate Dentist Professional Group.

Meet Lead Hygienist, Brenda Wertman
Brenda Wertman is the lead registered dental hygienist. Her educational journey began in 1992 when she graduated from South Puget Sound Community College, earning her first degree in dental assisting. She has furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science in environmental health from the University of Washington, a dental hygiene degree from Pierce Community College and a master’s degree in Dental Public Health from A.T. Still University. Brenda is still a part of the education system as an adjunct professor teaching online courses.
As a recent transplant from Washington, Brenda is proud to serve and live in this amazing community.
